My wife Lyn and I moved to Brinklow in July 2015 and immediately felt at home and made to feel very welcome.
I was born in Coventry and went full time to the School of Art at the age of 13. Although my career was in advertising and design I continued to paint on and off. Now I have more time to devote to drawing and painting, with the bonus of having a studio in our new home. Brinklow and the surrounding countryside has some wonderful subject matter and I enjoy sketching, particularly when walking our new dog – Rosie. I paint in an ‘ impressionist style’, trying to capture the essence of a scene, which is the same with my sketches. I also paint in a 1930’s railway poster style, combining my love of painting with my interest in railways.
