Further to the meeting with Rugby Regulatory Services today we can report they are confident it is not the Brinklow Quarry site which has had unannounced inspections on numerous occasions. There have been 15 various sites inspected in relation to discovering the source of the fly problem.

Consensus from the environment team is

The Parish Council shares the frustrations of people in the village with the current problem with flies. We continue to liaise with the statutory authorities, the Environment Agency, Rugby Borough Council and Defra. We await further reports and information from these authorities, but the source of the problem remains unknown.

The referendum closed on the 31 May and the results are as follows: 280 voted in favour of the Parish Council producing a Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP). 12 voted against the Parish developing a NDP. Of the 292 votes that were counted there were no spoiled...

The Winning Numbers for Brinklow Parish Church 100 Club in May are £25 prize no 23 and £10 prize goes to no 112. Additional prize(s) will be drawn on June 5th 2016.

Following the meeting held on the 11 February with Rugby Borough Council, a number of volunteers from the village put themselves forward to create a subcommittee of Brinklow Parish Council to look at the benefits of creating a Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP).
